Red Lion is a traditional village pub in Breachwood Green, Hertfordshire, located on Chapel Road. Today we serve as the village’s main social hub, offering food, drinks, guest rooms, quiz nights and community events. We remain an important meeting place in a small rural village of around 600 residents.
The pub has deep local roots dating back at least to the mid-19th century. Records from 1854 list Abraham Isaacs as landlord of the Red Lion, making it one of the long-established inns of the King’s Walden parish area. Earlier village beerhouses often began as private homes or small shops selling home-brewed beer, and the Red Lion appears to have developed in that tradition.
